Reaching the “Unreached”

An “unreached” or “least-reached” people is a people group where there is no local community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance. According to the Joshua Project, an unreached people group must be less than or equal to 2% Evangelical Christian and have less than or equal to 5% professing Christians.

There are over 3.2 billion unreached people in the world today. Of those 3.6 billion people, 88% live in or near the 10/40 window. Only 2.17% of these unreached people live in North and South America combined!

The

10/40 Window?

Most (97%) of the world's unreached people are located geographically in what some scholars call The 10/40 Window from West Africa across Asia between 10 degrees latitude north of the equator to 40 degrees north.
